Kate dances and teaches partner dance because, as a language, it spans past physical and geographical borders. It is the language of connection and play, touch and expression, and above all the best way they have found to heal and grow.

Kate fell in love with Latin dance over a decade ago and it has been an unscratchable itch ever since. Kate enjoys the mystery of tapping into a creative source larger than us as individuals; as well as a commitment to dance as a spiritual practice of self-liberation and expression. Kate loves helping students understand that Latin music and movement are firey, grounded, deep, sorrowful, celebratory and complex.

 

They especially enjoy teaching people who have never danced before as a means to show them signposts to connecting to their own body. Kate believes all bodies can and should dance regardless of gender, orientation, ability, age or size. Let’s dance!
