Hip Strength for Dancers with Dr. Stephanie

Improve your hip strength to prevent injury and master your spins

As a physical therapist and dancer, Dr. Stephanie Irwin believes that healing and peak performance are best achieved by optimizing our body's fitness, nutrition, sleep, and mindset. She does this by combining health coaching with physical therapy for runners, dancers, active go-getters and entrepreneurs. Dr. Stephanie owns a physical therapy practice in Westlake, hosts injury prevention workshops in the Seattle community, trains other physical therapists in advanced manual techniques around the country, and leads a local network of minority-owned small businesses.

 

In this 90-minute workshop, Dr. Stephanie will guide participants through a mobility warm up and dive into strengthening exercises for our hip and core that are specific to what we need as dancers to prevent injury and improve our performance! Dancers of all styles are welcome. Please come ready to move in non-restrictive clothing and bring a yoga mat.
