Kristin Nelson

Kristin strives to support every bachata dancer in enjoying their unique dance journey while becoming a confident, connected social dancer. Her classes and private lessons emphasize safe technique, musicality, partner connection, and intentional movement, encouraging students to enjoy the learning process and make dance their own.

Kristin discovered her passion for dance while living abroad in Madrid, Spain, where she found community through Salsa Casino/Rueda and Modern Bachata. With a musical background in percussion, drums, and piano, she quickly fell in love with expressing music through movement. Since joining Salsa Con Todo in 2022, Kristin has been an active member of the SCT community. Trained in both Sensual and Traditional Bachata, she teaches a wide range of classes, including Beginner Series, Friday Night Drop-Ins, Bachata Teams, and Sensual Bachata Intensives. She has trained with leading Sensual Bachata instructors from Spain and is actively involved in growing the Traditional Bachata community in Seattle. As part of the Bachata Sensual America Family Program, she proudly represents the Bachata Sensual style while fostering an inclusive, welcoming dance community.

Outside of SCT, Kristin also enjoys teaching Line Dancing and Country Swing, exploring the beautiful PNW mountains, and pursuing hands-on creative projects.
