Join Ashby Laine for a weekend of Kizomba/Semba Workshop and social dancing.
May 3rd- May 5th - 12:00pm - 4:30 pm (with 30 minute break)
Ashby’s contagious smile will have you feeling comfortable dancing in no time! Whether it is semba, kizomba, movement or beyond, Ashby brings strong teaching ability and unique exercises and explanations to any class she instructs.
Ashby's kizomba journey began in Boston in 2014, and has since then taken her around the world. She has been fortunate to train with, learn from and teach with many talented dancers from Europe and the USA.
Ashby has a professional background in training and teaching, which adds a unique perspective to her teaching methods. Ashby is inspired by the beautiful women she encounters in the kizomba world, and seeks to connect with and guide other women to grow. She is known for her passion for sharing valuable and relevant tools to follows in class - an important piece so often neglected.

Friday Night Drop-In Classes:
8:00pm-9:00pm - Body Movement and Ginga
9:10pm-10:10pm - Intermediate Plus Kizomba
Cost: $20 per Drop-in class or $35 for both

12:00pm - 2:00pm - Workshop 1 - All Levels
In these two hours, we will cover Semba Foundations, and leader/follower specific techniques.
~ 30 minute break ~ Grab a bite to eat, or use this time to practice your dance

2:30pm - 4:30pm - Workshop 2 - Intermediate/Advanced Level*
This class will include one hour of Kizomba, and a one hour of Semba Intensive for improver.
~ 30 minutes Practica
*To join the intermediate level workshop students should be proficient in the following moves: Estrela, Corridinho, Virgula, Retrocesso, Lead/Follow saidas - front to back and side to side.
Cost: $70 per workshop (Half Pass) OR $130 for both workshops (Full Pass) - The Saturday Social is included with your workshop pass (Half or Full).
