Sy was born and raised in a small town in the Skagit Valley. At the age of 15
he took his first salsa lesson from Vassili and was immediately hooked.
Throughout high school he drove to Seattle every week to study Salsa and other forms
of Latin Partner Dance. As time has gone by his love for this art form has only grown.
Upon graduating high school He moved to Seattle where he attends the University of Washington.
In addition to teaching private lesson and group classes,
Sy performs with Salsa Con Todo's Bachata team ("Bachatodo") and the upper-level Salsa dance team all over the country,
and continues to study and teach Latin Dance with great passion and skill which he hopes to pass on to his students.
